About me
Hi, my name is Sarah Humphreys. I specialise in working with trauma informed approaches and creative modalities, which allows us to work both with and without words.
Whether it be therapy for yourself or your child, a need to discuss the challenges currently being faced, or a feeling of being lost - I can support you in reconnecting with yourself.
I offer both face-face therapy in Gravesend and online therapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified and HCPC-registered Dramatherapist, with a diploma in Trauma Therapy. Over my career, I have worked extensively within mental health and educational settings, bringing a wealth of experience from senior clinical leadership roles, including managing therapeutic teams and directing children's services. I specialise in working with trauma experience - with adults and children.
My practice is deeply grounded in trauma-informed care and relational connection. I specialise in the somatic processing of trauma, focusing on how deep emotional distress and chronic health conditions impact the physical self.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information
Throughout my career I have met so many parents who are all facing or have faced similar battles, which have left them stuck in fight mode. It is a long journey to get the right SEN support in place for your child and I want you to know that I see you and you do not have to fight every battle alone. If you are struggling to get the right provision in place for your child, or feel that you could benefit from advice or therapy then please do make contact. My goal is for every child to get the education and enrichment that is their basic right and for parents to also get the support that they deserve and need.
Before a child can learn or engage, they first need to feel safe.
