About me
Every so often life throws things at us that we struggle to deal with or understand. This can be anything from the loss of a loved one to break down in relationship with family members to receiving a life changing diagnosis. It can be because of these things that we begin to question things in our everyday life and who we are.
Having suffered a grief which ultimately changed the course of my life, experienced breakdowns in relationships, supported my own child through an ADHD diagnosis and not understanding how my past had affected me I understand how it feels to go through these struggles. Which is why having experienced counselling myself and worked to understand who I am I can empathise with how these struggles may be for you and how having someone there to listen can be life changing whilst understanding your frame of reference.
I offer a space which is non-judgemental and safe where you as the client can be accepted and feel heard and your feelings validated. I will build a relationship with you that is based on trust, honesty and acceptance of where you are in the present moment. I have experience working with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, eating disorders and trauma. I use an integrative approach meaning that I draw on various approaches to support you throughout our sessions and in a way that best suits your needs.
I work with adults, teenagers and children either online, face-to-face or within a school setting. I understand that taking the first step can be difficult. I offer a free no obligation initial consultation where we can chat about what it is that you are looking to achieve with counselling. This gives you an opportunity to meet with me and decide if I am the right counsellor for you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
