About me
Hi, my name is Sam, and I am an integrative Psychotherapist. I am passionate about you having the space to express your emotions and the importance of you being heard. I aim to provide a safe, confidential and un-judgemental space to enable us to work together to explore what has brought you to counselling. A space to bring your fears, anxieties, griefs, traumas and pains. I work with all individuals aged 16 and above. At the moment, I hold counselling sessions solely online.
Counselling is a personal and unique journey. I work by putting you first, working together and really caring about how you feel. At times, the journey may be uncomfortable and hard. It can feel more like a marathon than a sprint, I work at whatever your pace may be, healing has no time limit. I have experience of working with a range of different areas, particularly with Stress, Anxiety, Trauma, Childhood Trauma, Shame, Identity, Loss and Bereavement, LGBTQIA+, Addictions and Sex related topics. I can help you process your feelings, regulate emotions and help to understand yourself better. At times a lot of what is happening in the present, can be a linked to the past, it can be helpful explore these and give them space to then be able to find the power to re-shape your future and help you heal.
I work both short-term, allowing you to focus more specifically on the problem/s you bring for counselling and longer term. In either work, I work relationally, building trust and warmth between us is my biggest priority, I adapt my approach to your own needs. In both approaches, my aim is to make sessions feel warm, a place of safety and where you can be you. All my sessions are private and confidential.
If this is your first time to therapy, or if you are returning to it again, it can be daunting. You are welcome to contact me, I hope to be able to help with whatever life is bringing at the moment.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
