Training, qualifications & experience

As a seasoned CBT and DBT therapist with over 10 years of experience, I've worked with adults and children across the private and NHS sectors. I've helped individuals navigate a range of mental health challenges, utilising various therapy formats including face-to-face, text based therapy, telephone, and video sessions. With a strong foundation in evidenced-based practise i'm dedicated to supportive clients in achieving their goals and improving their mental wellbeing. 

My qualifications include:

  • BSc (Hons) Psychology 
  • MSc Family and Child Psychology
  • Level 3 DBT
  • Children and Young Peoples Improving Access to Psychological Therapies; CBT pathway Post Graduate Diploma

I am also mid-way through completing my PhD in Applied Psychology focusing on the relationship between adversity and resilience.

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

Additional information

  • Individual sessions are charged at £70 per hour.
  • Group, family or couples sessions are charged at £95 per hour. 
  • Supervision is charged at £40 per hour

My research interests focus on understanding the complexities of mental health, with a particular emphasis on :

  • Building resilience in individuals and families 
  • Supporting adolescents and children through challenging times
  • Exploring the nuances of emotion regulation, including emotionally unstable personality disorder and borderline personality disorder
  • Anxiety and mood disorders including health anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, worry, panic attacks, PTSD and depression.
