About me

I am a trauma informed person-centered counsellor with a special interest in existentialism and the transpersonal. I offer a warm and non-judgmental space where you will be able to explore the areas of your life that you are struggling with. Clients have said that I have a calming presence and help them to feel at ease.

I offer a free 20 min telephone or Zoom consultation where we can meet and see if we are the right fit for your needs.

I believe that each person has the power within themselves to overcome whatever difficulties may be arising and so in my work with clients I am always looking to empower and help them find a deeper self understanding of themselves - for themselves. In this way positive changes are more integrated and long lasting.

I firmly believe in Carl Rogers’ (the founder of Person-Centred Counselling) ethos that counselling is a mutual relationship between counsellor and client and as such I strive to bring my authentic self to the counselling process and give of my experience and understanding freely.

I feel genuinely blessed and grateful for the life stories and depth of feeling that clients share with me as we work together to unravel and unfold the areas of their lives that feel ‘stuck’ or ‘messy’. I believe that we are all moving towards the very best version of ourselves and when I enter into a therapeutic relationship with a client it is that best version of themselves that I help them move towards becoming.

  • I have recently completed an Introduction to Sand Tray therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
