About me

Sometimes life feels heavier than it should. You might be anxious, low, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. You may be used to coping on your own, being the strong one, the reliable one, while quietly struggling underneath.

Therapy offers you a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. A space where you can speak openly, think out loud, and make sense of what’s been weighing on you, at your own pace.

About Me

I’m Roz, a qualified integrative counsellor working with children, young people, and adults.

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be real. My role isn’t to judge, analyse from a distance, or rush you towards solutions. It’s to sit alongside you, help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.

I work collaboratively and with warmth, drawing from different therapeutic approaches to suit the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.

I am neurodivergent-affirming and inclusive in my practice. You don’t need to mask, make eye contact, sit still, or explain yourself perfectly. Sessions can be structured or more open. We can work creatively, practically, or through conversation, whatever supports you best.

Children & Young People

Children and young people don’t always have the words for what they’re feeling. My work with younger clients is creative, flexible, and led by what helps them feel comfortable enough to engage.

This may include creative activities, gentle exploration through play, practical coping tools, or simply offering a calm and consistent space where they can begin to make sense of their experiences at their own pace, without pressure or expectation.

I have experience supporting children and young people in school settings, alternative education, and home education, including those who may feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, anxious, withdrawn, or struggling emotionally or socially. I also work with neurodivergent young people, including those with ADHD, autism, sensory differences, or additional learning needs, and understand that traditional talking therapy does not work for everyone.

I recognise that behaviour is often a form of communication, and I aim to understand what may be sitting underneath rather than focusing only on the behaviour itself. Every young person is different, so I adapt how I work to meet them where they are, helping them feel heard, understood, and supported in a way that feels manageable for them..

Adults

Adults don’t always arrive in therapy knowing exactly why they are struggling, only that things may feel overwhelming, exhausting, emotionally heavy, or difficult to manage. My approach is warm, flexible, and tailored to the individual, recognising that no two people experience the world in the same way.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, burnout, and feeling disconnected from themselves or others. I also work with neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD, autism, sensory differences, or those exploring whether they may be neurodivergent later in life.

Many neurodivergent adults have spent years masking, overthinking, feeling misunderstood, or trying to fit expectations that never quite felt manageable. I understand that traditional therapy approaches do not always feel accessible or helpful for everyone, so I adapt how I work to meet each person where they are. Sessions can be reflective, practical, creative, structured, or gently exploratory depending on what feels most supportive for you.

My aim is to offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, helping you feel understood, accepted, and more connected to yourself.

Experience

I have experience working across schools, NHS and clinical environments, and community services. This has given me insight into the varied challenges people face at different stages of life, as well as the importance of thoughtful, ethical practice.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice to ensure I offer the best possible support.

Sessions & Practical Information

I offer face-to-face sessions in my private counselling room in Ross-on-Wye, as well as online and telephone sessions.

Home visits are available for those facing mobility, health, or other barriers to accessing therapy.

Counselling can be short-term or open-ended, depending on what feels appropriate. Our initial session gives you the opportunity to talk about what’s brought you here and to see whether we feel comfortable working together. There is no obligation to continue.

Getting in Touch

Reaching out can feel like a big step. If you’re considering therapy for yourself or your child, you’re welcome to contact me for an initial conversation. We can explore what support might look like and whether I’m the right fit for you.

You don’t have to navigate things alone.
