About me
There is a saying that therapy should start anew with each client.
I wholeheartedly embrace this concept. My therapy style remains fluid, and for good reason. Your world is entirely unique, and there is no manual that can fully explain what it's like being you.
My wish as a therapist is to create a safe and holding space, in which we can explore your world together.
After many years of training, I have come to believe that therapy is about building a relationship, in which we feel safe to let things begin to shift and move around in ourselves.
Therapy isn’t about being told what to do, or someone trying to change you. It is more empowering than that.
Through my role as a therapist, I hope to help empower my clients. I am passionate about trying to help people cultivate their own awareness about what’s going on for them, whilst also sharing my insights where I feel necessary. I see therapy as a collaborative effort, where we are both committed to helping you overcome whatever it is you face.
Whether it’s an attempt to grow, to process something painful, to adapt, or to explore something challenging or confusing, I believe that it is much better to do this alongside someone who is determined to help you through the often very confusing and testing experience of being alive.
All those desires, wishes, struggles, and pains—they can be too much to bear on our own. But maybe you sense this—which is maybe why you are here, thinking about entering into therapy.
Sometimes, we need a special kind of space—where the conversation is solely about you, and where the person listening will really and truly try to hear us.
If, after reading this, you feel I could be that person for you, then I welcome you to reach out to me, no matter what it is about.
I work both online and in person. For in-person work, I am based in Bath.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
