About me

I work with clients who seek support and clarity in their intimate, work-related, family, friendships, or relationships with themselves.  Often, when relationships breakdown we experience anxiety, stress, confusion, low self-esteem and many other upsetting, unsettling emotions, feelings and thoughts.

I help clients develop greater awareness and clarity, develop coping strategies, improve communication, manage emotions, and build resilience.

Whether you are dealing with everyday stressors, relationship breakdowns, workplace or family issues, or life transitions, I am here to help you navigate these.

We will work together to understand what is happening and how to handle it now and in the future.

What will you experience in our sessions?

In our sessions, you can explore what is happening, discover patterns and meanings, and how they affect you. I offer a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental space. As a therapist, I am friendly, empathetic, and supportive, yet challenging in helping you achieve greater self-awareness, improved mental health, and enhanced overall quality of life.

As an integrative therapist and coach, I draw on many therapeutic tools, providing you with a tailored and unique experience and approaches to our work together.

What do I work with?

I have specialist training in relationships & psychosexual and intimate relationships, workplace issues, anxiety, worry and stress, confusion, grief, depression, low self-esteem or low confidence.

Many clients seek therapy with me to address work-related issues and the symptoms of stress/anxiety that come from navigating work challenges such as redundancy, career changes, adult bullying and poor management and the impact this can have on your personal life and relationships.

I also work with family and intimate relationship breakdowns and support you in navigating the confusion and upset that comes when relationships change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
