Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What to Expect From Working With Me
I aim for us to work collaboratively so you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and make positive, lasting changes in your life. I am passionate about supporting you in achieving your personal goals and living a more enriched and fulfilled existence.
I firmly believe everyone has the potential to live their life to the fullest, but I recognise that we all face unique obstacles. Counselling therapy offers a space for true discovery, evolution, re-awakening, and self-development.
This is your opportunity to explore and express your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Together, we will work to understand your experiences, beliefs, and behaviours to gain insight and identify any patterns that may be preventing you from living your best life.
I approach therapy relationally, acknowledging that you are a unique individual with distinct needs. This means I work intuitively and compassionately, focusing on equipping you with the necessary tools to achieve beneficial change and personal growth. I strive to provide a safe and welcoming space for you to explore and understand your challenges, working closely with you to achieve lasting personal change and help you flourish.
My Therapeutic Approach
As an Integrative Therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centred, Existential, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive & Behavioural therapies.
By utilising techniques from these different practices, I can tailor a flexible approach specifically for you. Using various modalities allows me to work intuitively in the way that best suits you moment to moment and session to session.
The Effectiveness of Online Therapy
Online therapy provides essential mental health support conveniently. Research from UCLA and other studies indicates that virtual sessions are just as effective as face-to-face sessions. Providing a safe space where you can talk freely, openly, and without interruption, online support is often a very accessible, convenient, affordable, and private way to receive support.
While online sessions may not be the right fit for everyone, I encourage you to book a free, no-pressure initial consultation if you would like to sample the format and see if it feels right for you.
