About me

On the surface, things look 'fine'. But inside, something doesn’t feel right.

You're someone who is always there for others, putting yourself last and feeling overwhelmed.

You’ve reached a point where you’re thinking:
“Why do I find myself in the same unhealthy patterns?”

Does that sound familiar?

You’re not alone and you don’t have to keep figuring it out by yourself.

I take a person-centred approach which means you set the pace of our sessions, decide what we explore and don't need to feel pressured in having all the answers.

In our sessions, we will explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

Together, we will look at the patterns that are keeping you stuck, where you've lost the connection with yourself and what you actually need, want and feel.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a person-centred, BACP registered counsellor, with several years of experience, across private practice and the charity sector, supporting clients with emotional challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem and feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns.

My work is informed by ongoing professional development and I am committed to offering a thoughtful, ethical and supportive space for each person I work with.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I offer a free 30-minute consultation over the phone after you have initially contacted me about working together. Here you can tell me what is going on for you and I can tell you what it will be like to work with me. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the process. This will help you to make an informed decision about whether having me as your counsellor is the best decision for you at this time.

If you would like to work together, we shall select a regular weekly time slot and I will send you an online meeting link for our first session together.

If you are a full-time student, trainee counsellor, or are unemployed, I do offer a concessionary fee of £40.00.
