About me

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, with additional training in bereavement and family systems. Whether your concerns or distress arise from past difficulties, the present situation, or both, relational-integrative therapy can help. I have in depth training of psychological development and humanistic counselling, ensuring that your needs, guide the direction of our work together.

Areas of experience: Developmental traumas, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, life transitions and a range of other difficulties. I specialise in loss, which forms some part of all life experiences and is an important part of transitions.

My approach is collaborative, at its heart and your way of making sense of your experience is what guides the direction of therapy.

I offer a supportive, affirming environment to explore what is of concern to you, develop ways to help alleviate distress and find healthy ways of coping. Book in for an initial consultation call to explore how we might work together.

Therapy will be uniquely tailored to you, based in inclusivity and respect. Sessions are in-person in Cambridge. If you have any questions about how we will work together, on your particular issue, please contact me to discuss.

Short term work, focussed on a particular area, or long-term psychotherapy both available.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling from The University of Suffolk.
  • Foundation Training in Family Systems Constellations from The Centre for Systemic Constellations, London.
  • Foundation Training in Bereavement from Cruse Bereavement Care.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
