About me
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or simply exhausted from trying to keep everything together. Maybe you know something needs to change, but you’re not quite sure where to start. You might be struggling with the impact of past experiences, relationships, anxiety, self-worth, or the demands of everyday life. Or perhaps you don’t have one clear reason for being here at all, just a sense that things don’t feel quite right.
I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor with four years’ experience working with survivors of sexual abuse. This has given me extensive experience of working with trauma and the many ways it can affect how we think, feel, relate to others and understand ourselves. It has also reinforced for me how important it is that clients feel empowered to make sense of their own experiences, rather than having someone else define them. I understand that talking about difficult experiences can take trust and time, and I will always work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be yourself without having to edit, minimise or justify your experiences. You can bring the things that feel difficult, confusing or hard to put into words, and we can explore them together at a pace that feels right for you. Sometimes our bodies hold things that are difficult to put into words, too. I work somatically, making space to notice what’s happening in your body and gently explore how reconnecting with it might help you feel more at home in yourself.
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, the impact of trauma and feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I also have a particular interest in supporting adults who are exploring or adjusting to a late diagnosis of neurodivergence, including the questions that can come with understanding yourself differently later in life.
If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call for you to have a chat, ask any questions and get a feel for what working together might be like.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
