About me
I have trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist (Minster Centre, London). This means I work with different modalities based on our relationship and your needs. In my work, I honour the relational and cultural dimensions of the living world. This includes the physical, emotional, psychological, social, ecological and spiritual aspects of life.
I welcome whatever issue(s) you may bring to therapy, with this in mind I offer both long and short-term work.
I am able to offer culturally sensitive psychotherapy in both English and Gujarati.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I appreciate starting a therapeutic process can be challenging for some, so the next step is to have a no obligation chat on the phone.
If we decide that we would like to meet, this will be our initial session, this offers us a chance to experience what it is like to work together.
During our initial session, we can decide if we would like to work together. If so, a weekly time slot can be agreed for individuals and every two weeks for relationships.
All sessions last for 50 minutes for individuals and 75 minutes for couples/relationship therapy, unless otherwise agreed between us.
Fees
All sessions are £95* for individuals and £105*/ therapeutic hour for couples/ relationship therapy ( I usually work 1 hr 15mins).
*I do offer a sliding scale, please do reach out if you wish to discuss this further.

Aashna Counselling & Psychotherapy (Co-Founder)
‘Embracing difference and diversity in all its forms’
My rich difference and intersectionality means I haven’t always felt seen or understood within the therapy field, both as client, trainee and therapist, an experience for many who come from marginalised backgrounds. With that in mind, Shammi Kohli and I founded Aashna, a therapeutic space dedicated to inclusivity and embracing difference & diversity in all its forms.
In line with our ethos we also began a pioneering series of encounters named Let’s Get Uncomfortable (2019) to challenge racism within the therapy field. Aashna and our creative team have also set up a social justice project named Aashna + (2019 - current), a service for individuals who often struggle to access long term sensitive psychotherapy in mainstream settings. I am one of the founders and supervisors for this service.
