About me

Hi, I’m Pav. I’m a Registered Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), based in Nottingham.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, whether it’s your first time or you’re returning after a break— so well done for getting this far. Life can be tough sometimes, and it’s okay to seek support when things feel too much. You're not alone, and I'm here to help.

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. My aim is to support you at your own pace, helping you make sense of your experiences and feel more in control of your life.

I’ve worked with people dealing with a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to):

  • Anxiety
  • Work life stress/ career counselling
  • Low mood and depression
  • Relationship breakdowns
  • Low self-esteem and self-worth
  • Carers support
  • Narcissistic relationships
  • Domestic violence and abuse
  • Trauma and its lasting effects

I work in a trauma-informed way, which means I’m aware of how past experiences can affect your present life — emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Everyone’s story is unique. I recognise how culture, upbringing, and life experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. I offer an understanding and culturally sensitive approach for clients from all backgrounds.

If you're thinking about taking the next step, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what you're looking for, answer any questions you might have, and see if working together feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

How Sessions Work

I offer one-to-one therapy for adults, and this can be either short-term or long-term — depending on what feels right for you.

Many people find that meeting weekly helps create a steady rhythm in their therapeutic journey, offering a regular space to pause, reflect, and be fully heard. That said, we can find a pace that suits you and your life.

There’s no set number of sessions — it really depends on what brings you to therapy and what you hope to explore. We’ll check in along the way to see how things are going for you, and you're always in control of how far you’d like to go and how long you’d like to continue.

I’m a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, which places care, respect, and integrity at the heart of therapeutic work.

This is your space — and we’ll shape it together in a way that supports your own unique process.
