About me
Dual-qualified Relationship Psychotherapist and Relational Executive Coach to couples and individuals, as well as senior leaders and co-founders, whose closest personal relationship or business partnership is in crisis or has reached a tipping point.
I work with an international client base who are managing the pressures of highly successful and demanding professional corporate or high level entrepreneurial careers with their home life. I also support those who have decided to separate or divorce and want to do this as well as possible.
Transforming relationship dynamics where the stakes are high - whether personal (couple, adult siblings, parent with adult child), or business (co-founders, family business, board/SLT dynamics) - is my focus and expertise. I draw widely and deeply to tease out conflicting needs and agendas and address the subtle art of evoking insight and building trust.
How we show up and interact with others both at home and at work - our 'relational' skill - strongly impacts one's happiness and success.
As both a psychotherapist and coach, you can trust that I work safely at emotional and psychological depth, but will also actively support you in injecting forward momentum as appropriate for results. I offer an initial relaxed exploratory conversation, either on the phone or ideally via Zoom, to give us a chance to connect, to get a sense of your needs and desired area of focus at this time, answer any questions you may have, and if suitable, consider how we might best work together, either face to face or online, at a frequency to suit.
Training, qualifications & experience
Dual-qualified as both a highly experienced relational and psychoanalytically-informed psychodynamic Psychotherapist (M.A and PGDip, Tavistock Relationships/UEL, MBACP) and Executive Coach (triple accredited certification Henley Business School), and with a successful career as a global commercial and communications leader in high-pressured and challenging complex matrix professional service, ‘entrepreneurial’ business environments and media/publishing roles.
I am also a tutor, trainer and qualifying paper marker/examiner at post-graduate levels.
I also offer therapy, coaching and consultations to therapists and coaches.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
