Anxiety Psychotherapist MBACP

About me

I’m not just a psychotherapist I’m someone who deeply understands the quiet exhaustion of keeping it all together. I’ve lived that tension of being the one who’s always reliable, high-achieving, emotionally aware and secretly overwhelmed. I know what it’s like to be the one who holds space for everyone else while feeling like your own needs are too much, or simply don’t fit into the schedule. That lived experience shapes everything about how I show up in therapy.

My work isn’t about diagnosing or fixing. It’s about making space. Space to finally exhale. Space to feel without judgment. Space to take the armour off. I offer a relationship built on respect, depth, and genuine care a place where you don’t have to over-explain your pain or minimise your story. You’re already strong. Therapy is where you get to stop surviving and start softening into something more sustainable.

What I Offer

I work with women who are outwardly successful, deeply self-aware, and quietly exhausted. They often struggle with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and people-pleasing but underneath that, there’s a long history of emotional suppression, internalised pressure, and feeling like they have to “earn” rest, worth, and love.

My approach is trauma-informed, insight-oriented, and grounded in compassion. We’ll go at your pace but we will go deep. Together, we’ll explore what’s been running in the background for so long: the roles, the rules, the invisible weight you’ve been carrying. My goal isn’t to help you do more. It’s to help you feel safe doing less and still feel worthy.

This is a space to come home to yourself. Gently, consistently, and with the kind of support that actually gets it.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a UK-licensed psychotherapist with over 4 years of experience specialising in anxiety therapy for high-achieving women. My academic background includes a Master's degree in [Your Specific Degree, e.g., Clinical Psychology], and I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My professional journey has been deeply influenced by my own experiences with anxiety and depression. This personal insight allows me to connect with clients on a profound level, understanding the silent struggles that often accompany outward success.

In my practice, I employ a psychoanalytic approach to uncover the root causes of anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout. By exploring past experiences and unconscious patterns, we work together to bring clarity and healing to longstanding emotional challenges.

Over the years, I have supported women from diverse backgrounds, both in the UK and internationally, helping them to break free from cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to provide a compassionate and evidence-based therapeutic space where clients can rediscover their inner strength and lead lives aligned with their true selves.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
