About me
Couples and Individuals – Counselling Psychotherapy – Online via Zoom
Experienced BACP Registered Counselling Psychotherapist.
Many of the people I work with are capable professionals who normally carry responsibility for others, in addition to running a day to day personal life.
When something destabilises them — work anxiety, relationship problems, performance stress, or loss — Then shame creeps in along with self-doubt.
The thought may be, “Why am I reacting like this? I’m usually able to deal with things.”
My role is not to panic or rush to fix things, but to provide a calm space where what’s happening can be understood and steadied.
If this sounds familiar, therapy can help restore clarity and stability so that you can move forward again.
I am a counselling psychotherapist with over 13 years of experience working with individuals and couples. My work often involves relationship strain, emotional distance, and the pressures that come with demanding professional roles.
Sessions are held online via Zoom, allowing people with busy schedules to access therapy wherever they are.
Training, qualifications & experience
A registered therapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have worked at home and abroad with many people and many different types of problems. I have a vast amount of experience working online and over 13 years of experience seeing individuals and couples face-to-face.
Humanistic Emotion Focused Therapist holding professional qualifications in Humanistic integrative counselling (BACP Accredited Programme Gold Book Standards) and Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Dip).
I also hold advanced professional training certificates (Adv Cert) in Emotion Focused Therapy. This is an empirically validated method that biases my work towards process experiential emotion-focused psychotherapy.
Other training includes psychology, core concepts of mental health, understanding fear and sadness, neurology of psychological distress, and emotionally-focussed couples therapy.
Online therapy experience and university studies around the complexities of online work, together with professional online development studies.
My experience covers a wide range of problems. All of my casework is confidentially supported by a registered BACP supervisor, this is in line with BACP professional requirements.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
