About me

I am an integrative therapist/coach, which means that my training covered most of the therapy approaches and coaching techniques.

My background is in Business Psychology, and before becoming a therapist I helped companies to increase employee satisfaction and productivity.

Career coaching and supporting staff when experiencing stress, burnout and anxiety were part of my role as a business psychologist.

For most of my clients, I offer the 'Personal Consultancy' model, a model which combines Psychotherapy and Coaching. It is a helpful framework to recognise what caused your current life’s imbalances and empower you to overcome or change them.  Of course, we are all unique! Therefore, my aim in therapy is to model my work based on your needs and personality.

I start with a free introductory session (up to 30 min),  it is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to begin to talk about what brings you here.

If we decide to continue, we will confirm dates, number of sessions (if short-term) and discuss any other arrangements.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

For change to occur, looking deep is not always required!

Sometimes we just have to clean up the surface. The truth is not every specific issue we encounter is linked to concealed childhood traumas. Later life paths of high significance may initiate issues within us in form of habits and routine patterns. We simply need to take the initiative to make changes in our daily habits.

There is no doubt that our upbringings and challenges in our lives shape our wellbeing. The question is when to dig deeper and when to pause?

This is what my personal consultancy offers to clients. The integrated approach of professional counselling, psychotherapy, and coaching, with the opportunity to initiate constructive, practical changes in the clients’ lives.

The obvious truth is we are all unique. Therefore, as your therapist, it is my responsibility to implement the most comfortable and effective approach for you. Therefore, in our first sessions, I will get to know you and then, based on your needs and personality, I implement suitable disciplines or techniques to address your issues.

I offer counselling in Farsi/Persian and English.
