About me

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist (MSc), registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a registered accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), with a First-Class Honours degree in Psychological Counselling.

Therapy is offered in English or Spanish.  Sessions can be offered in person, online or by phone, depending on which feels more accessible and comfortable for you. I work in three different locations, Kings Cross, Oxford Street and Archway.

My clinical experience includes:

  • Providing psychodynamic therapy to clients from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds, many of whom have experienced racism, cultural stigma, or marginalisation. Sessions can be in Spanish to accommodate clients who speak English as a second language.
  • I provide support to clients grappling with a diverse array of psychological and emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem issues, eating disorders, addictions, suicidal ideation, borderline personality disorders, and the emotional aftermath of narcissistic abuse or sexual abuse.
  • I have extensive experience supporting adults who are grieving, whether following sudden loss or anticipated bereavement.  I assist clients in understanding their emotional responses, managing the intensity of their grief, and gradually guiding them toward integration and healthier adaptation.
  • I have significant experience delivering therapeutic support to adolescents and young adults, with particular attention to identity development, family systems, academic stress, and the impact of social media and peer pressure. This work has fostered a deeper understanding of the unique pressures young people face and the importance of creating a safe, non-judgemental space to explore their experiences and build resilience.
  • I have experience working with the emotional impact of family estrangement, including the pain of losing contact with a parent or child and the complex feelings that can follow – grief, anger, guilt, shame, relief or confusion.  I can offer a space to make sense of what has happened, process losses, strengthen boundaries, and explore options for moving forward—whether that means accepting no contact, finding a way to cope, or considering safe, thoughtful steps toward reconciliation if possible.
  • I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming support for LGBT+ clients, with sensitivity to the specific challenges they may face.
  • I have substantial experience in conducting initial assessments and developing psychodynamic formulations to inform therapeutic focus and support clinical decision-making.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a reflective and in-depth approach to help you explore the unconscious patterns that influence your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

This form of therapy can be especially helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, personality difficulties, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, or phobias.

Together, we work to understand the emotional roots of your distress, including past experiences that may still be shaping your present. Psychodynamic therapy encourages self-awareness and insight, helping you uncover desires, fears and internal conflicts, even when they are not fully conscious.

Through this process, you will find yourself better able to make empowered decisions, reduce self-sabotaging patterns, intrusive thouhgts and manage both positive and painful emotions in a more balanced way. The goal is not just symptom relief but lasting emotional growth and improved well-being.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
