About me

People are often drawn to counselling as there is a desire to create change in the areas where we feel dissatisfied or unfulfilled. Counselling is an opportunity to address the aspects of life which we feel are no longer serving us. This can be challenging and courageous, my role is to support you through this process.

The advantage of my integrative therapy is versatility. I work with you flexibly and support your expression, however that looks and feels for you. Traditionally, this is through words and speaking, at times you may also be drawn to; writing, art, movement, meditation, music or embodiment practices.

I also offer Lifespan Integration (LI) therapy which works with regulating the nervous system and the subconscious parts within us. LI supports us to move through trauma into safety, enabling us move through areas we feel stuck in.

I offer a safe and confidential space where collaboratively we will build deeper levels of awareness and understanding in the areas you choose. I focus on you as an individual and your personal experience, away from any labels. The way we work together is always a choice and taken at your pace, so we can form a trusting and solid foundation on which to work together. My approach is to guide and assist in empowering you to find your own answers and way forward in life.

As well as my private practice, I run a regular Eating Disorder support group and short-term groups for areas such as anger management and self-esteem.

I believe the mind and the body are connected in a very powerful way. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who want to feel more comfortable within their body.

I come from a corporate background and understand the pressures of life. I see first-hand how counselling and wellbeing have the power to change how we experience ourselves and the world around us.

I am committed to my profession and my personal development. I ensure that I attend regular training events to continue to broaden my knowledge in my field.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
