About me

Whether it’s a specific concern or a want to understand yourself better, therapy can be a useful tool to exploring your thoughts, behaviours and feelings. As a Humanistic & Integrative psychotherapist, my ultimate aim is to understand your inner world and provide a therapeutic experience tailored to your needs. I work from a holistic model where your mind, emotions, behaviours, relationships and experiences are all acknowledged as each element shapes us into who we are today.

I see each person as unique, believing that there is no such thing as a good or bad person. By drawing on theoretical approaches, skills and concepts which complement the relational aspect of therapy, my hope is our work together offers you the capacity to improve your self-empowerment, autonomy and self-belief. Throughout our work together, our foundation will compromise of acceptance, understanding and connection to help facilitate a nurturing environment where growth can occur.

There are many reasons individuals seek out therapy. It may be that you have specific concerns, or you have a sense of unfulfillment that you would like to explore. Whatever your reasoning, making the decision to seek out a therapist shows great strength and bravery.

I can offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for us to work in. By creating a safe environment, we can begin to process and unpack your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that suits you. At times throughout your therapy, creative elements may also be introduced to help enhance your understanding of your emotions, thoughts and beliefs as words alone may not suffice. I will provide warmth and empathy throughout your journey and support you in creating a life that you want to live.

Within my work, I integrate theoretical concepts such as human developmental theories, unconscious processes and neuroscience into my practice to support further understanding of relational patterns and promote self-regulation.

I am interested in working with adults who were adopted as children, as well as with individuals who are pregnant or experiencing fertility challenges.

I offer a free 15-minute phone call for us to briefly discuss your needs and to answer any questions that you may have regarding therapy and what you’re looking for. After this initial phone call, an assessment process will begin to help decipher whether I am the right therapist for you and if I have the right skillset to support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
