I am a qualified Psychodynamic & Integratively trained counsellor & psychotherapist (BA Hons) registered with the BACP. I have over 10 years of experience working with a wide variety of clients, a knowledge of many therapeutic skills to suit your individual needs.
I am down to earth, friendly & encourage you to talk about whatever is on your mind.

I offer one to one sessions in a confidential, comfortable and safe space in my private practice in Holmwood near Dorking.
I have experience of working with many issues including;

I can help and support you to work through your issues at your own pace.
 Together we can think about how past experiences in your life may have impacted on your ability to cope and function day to day. Perhaps you would like to make changes in your life but are unsure where to begin, we can explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way.

Counselling can help you to gain an understanding of yourself, ultimately increasing your happiness and confidence, bringing positive changes to your life.

First meeting
Seeking counselling can be a daunting and anxiety provoking process and it is important that you feel comfortable and find the right therapist for you. In our first meeting we can gain a sense of if it feels right for us to work together, you have have no obligation to continue.

How many sessions will I need

Everyone is different, some people come along for a few sessions others for several months or longer. During our initial meeting we can decide together what will be best for you, open-ended or a fixed number of sessions, this can be discussed at any time depending on your needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
