About me
You may contact me not because your life has collapsed, but because a behaviour has become hard to manage and you're tired of dealing with it alone.
I provide space within which you can gain understanding of addiction, develop coping strategies, build resilience, and create a structured plan moving forward, breaking the cycle of addiction and working towards sustained recovery and a healthier life.
I support adults who feel stuck in behaviours they can’t quite bring under control, experiencing repetitive or compulsive patterns, including:
• alcohol use that has gradually increased
• pornography or sexual behaviours that feel difficult to control
• gambling
• online or gaming overuse
• constant scrolling or late-night internet use
• overeating or using food to cope
• other habits that take up more mental space than you want them to
Other counselling I offer: -
Anxiety and depression arise from a variety of sources or situations, provoking intense feelings of worry and unease. I offer space to unpack and explore your feelings, and the thought patterns and concerns that contribute to those feelings, work with you to develop coping strategies, to reduce the urge to avoid certain situations, and to develop a greater sense of calm, enabling a move toward a life with more confidence and less fear.
Bereavement/loss can have serious impacts on your life such as sadness, anger, and guilt. I can help you understand the grieving process, to honour your loss, and develop healthy coping strategies to manage the pain. This assists in rebuilding a sense of meaning and purpose, ultimately supporting you to adjust to life after loss and integrating your experience into a new chapter.
Issues arising in Employment can impact your overall health and welfare. I help you to explore their origins and impact, and to explore what changes you may be able to make.
Kink aware
If you identify as being part of the kink or BDSM community I offer kink friendly, empathic, non-judgemental counselling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
