About me

I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel truly heard and supported. My approach is gentle but focused, grounded in deep empathy and professional training. I’m an experienced Therapeutic Counsellor, Mindfulness Teacher and hold an MSc in Psychology, currently advancing my practice in Schema Therapy - a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps us understand the deeper emotional patterns behind our struggles.

What makes Schema Therapy different is that it goes beyond just talking. It uses experiential techniques to help access the emotional roots of long-standing patterns often ones that formed in childhood/adolescence but still impact us today. Over time, this can create lasting change, helping you feel more connected, confident, and at ease in yourself and your relationships.

My background spans education, mental health, and supporting people through many of life’s biggest challenges. I bring a warm, grounded presence and a genuine belief in your ability to heal and grow.

Therapy is a collaborative process. We’ll work together to tailor it to what feels right for you. If you’re considering taking that first step, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

As a passionate advocate for self-care and a firm believer in the benefits of therapy, I have witnessed and experienced its transformative effects first-hand on my relationship with myself, my relationships with others, my self-confidence and my well-being.

I provide a calm, non-judgmental, empathic and confidential space for both young people and adults. Together, we can explore the reasons that brought you to therapy and support your journey towards better mental health, more resilience, gaining tools to help you cope better with stress and anxiety and, hopefully, a brighter future.

I follow an integrative approach to therapy, so will draw on a range of therapeutic models that we feel are most appropriate. My wish is to offer you a space where you feel truly heard and understood, where we can gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface, helping you gain self-awareness and insight, but more importantly, move toward meaningful change in how you think, feel, and respond to life. I promise to never be patronising and will follow your lead so that you can find your answers with my help.

I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step, and I appreciate you considering my profile. I hope we can work together towards a more positive and fulfilling future for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I specialise in using Schema therapy as a deeply integrative and transformative approach to help you understand and heal long-standing thought - emotional – behavioural patterns. This therapy combines elements of cognitive, experiential, interpersonal, and behavioural work to address unmet emotional needs and shift your inner beliefs known as schemas that can keep you feeling stuck, ashamed, or disconnected. I work with clients who may not have found lasting change through other approaches. It can help shift maladaptive schemas, deeply entrenched patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving developed early in life that can adversely shape our emotional experiences.
