About me

Sometimes life feels heavier than it should. You might be running on empty, worrying constantly, or finding that past experiences keep shaping the present no matter how hard you try to move forward.

I offer a calm, confidential space to help you make sense of what’s happening and begin to feel more balanced, connected, and in control again.

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist working with adults, parents, teens and children. My approach is relational, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed — meaning we look not just at what’s going wrong, but why it makes sense that you feel this way. Together we’ll explore what’s behind the patterns and build steadier ways to cope and relate.

Whether you need a place to untangle anxiety, recover from burnout, heal old wounds, or strengthen your relationships, sessions move at the pace that feels safe for you. I offer in-person therapy in Ashford, Kent, and online sessions across the UK.

Heartwood Consultancy is built on three core beliefs: connection heals, consistency steadies, and curiosity opens change. My role is to help you reconnect with your own strength and create lasting calm — not just short-term relief.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 415309). My approach integrates attachment, systemic, psychodynamic and trauma-informed perspectives, enabling me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs and experiences.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Systemic Psychotherapy, and have completed Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Level 1 and 2 training. I continue to undertake ongoing CPD in trauma, attachment and relational practice to ensure my work remains evidence-informed and reflective.

Alongside my private practice, I hold a senior leadership role within a national therapeutic organisation, where I oversee clinical development and supervision across fostering, residential and education settings. This has given me a deep understanding of how early relationships, stress, and adversity shape emotional wellbeing throughout life.

I work with adults, parents and children across a range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety, burnout and stress
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Trauma and attachment wounds
  • Low mood and self-esteem
  • Parenting challenges and emotional regulation

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
