About me
I work with people who want to think more deeply about their experience, to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the direction of their lives.
This often includes people who are already quite reflective, but find that thinking alone hasn’t led to the kind of clarity or change they’re looking for. There may be a sense that something isn’t quite right, even if it’s difficult to put into words, or a feeling of being stuck between different possibilities.
Who I work with
I particularly work well with people who:
- Feel “high-functioning” on the surface, but internally unsettled or dissatisfied
- Are experiencing anxiety or depression, and want to understand where this might originate and how to move forward
- Are exploring identity, including gender, sexuality, or neurodivergence (e.g. autism or ADHD)
- Are navigating relationship complexity, including non-monogamy, polyamory, or kink
- Are going through a significant life transition (e.g. relationship endings, parenthood, career change, peri/menopause)
- Want space to explore meaning, purpose, or direction
What therapy with me offers
I offer a space where you can reflect on your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
Together, we can begin to make sense of what is happening for you, and how you would like to respond to it. I work in a collaborative and thoughtful way, supporting you to explore different perspectives and develop a clearer sense of yourself, what matters to you, what you need, and what feels right moving forward.
For many people, this process leads to feeling less stuck, more grounded, and more able to navigate life in a way that feels aligned with who they are.
How I work
I am a BACP Accredited Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, offering short and long-term online and telephone counselling.
My approach draws on a range of perspectives, including psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive and existential approaches. In practice, this means I adapt how I work depending on you and what you bring.
Alongside my therapy training, I have a background in philosophy. This informs my interest in questions of identity, meaning, and how we live with uncertainty and change.
Additional specialisms
Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD)
I have experience working with a wide range of issues relating to gender identity, sexuality, and different relationship styles. I have previously managed an LGBTQ+ counselling service, and I take an informed, affirmative and non-pathologising approach. These aspects of your identity will only be the focus of therapy if you want them to be.
Psychedelic Integration
I welcome clients who want to explore and make sense of psychedelic experiences they have had, whether in clinical, ceremonial or personal contexts. Our work can support you to reflect on and integrate these experiences in a meaningful way.

If you’re considering counselling, you’re very welcome to get in touch. We can discuss over email or arrange an initial conversation to talk about what’s bringing you here and whether working together feels like a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I currently work in private practice as a counsellor/psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.
Before this, I worked as a therapist and Counselling Services Manager at METRO Charity, where I led a team supporting adults and young people across a range of services, including those identifying as LGBTQ+, people living with HIV, and family counselling. This experience continues to inform my work, particularly in relation to identity, relationships, and working with complexity.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a mental health advocate and facilitated groups for people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including those in crisis or living with more severe and enduring conditions.
Alongside my clinical work, I have also worked as a supervisor and consultant for mental health charities, supporting frontline staff and safeguarding processes. I am also a qualified teacher.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

The next steps
The next step is to contact me via Counselling Directory, my website, or email. I will then be in touch with you to let you know my availability and you can ask me any questions you may have. I also offer a free 15 minute initial phone call for this if you prefer.
If you wish to go ahead we can then arrange an initial session. This will be a chance for us to discuss in more depth what has brought you to counselling, what you would like to get from therapy, and for us both to get a feel for how we might work together and how I can help.
