About me

When life feels overwhelming and it’s hard to make sense of your thoughts or emotions, it can feel very lonely and isolating - but you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we can find a way forward.

Individual Therapy
No matter what has led you to consider counselling, I am here to provide a calm, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. My goal is to support you in understanding the challenges you’re facing and empower you to create meaningful and lasting changes in your life.

I am a Humanistic Gestalt counsellor, accredited by the BACP, with over 15 years of experience in the mental health and wellbeing field. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, helping you work through a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, depression, and stress
  • Low self-esteem or confidence
  • Relationship and family challenges
  • Healing from past trauma
  • Navigating life transitions and other personal struggles

If you’re looking to make sense of the difficulties in your life, break free from unhelpful patterns, or simply need a safe space to reflect and grow, I’m here to help. I offer sessions both face-to-face and online, making therapy accessible in a way that works for you.

Take the first step toward a more fulfilling and hopeful future - get in touch today.

Couples Therapy
People seek couples or relationship therapy for a variety of reasons; primarily to address conflict, improve communication, and rebuild trust. Common issues include communication breakdowns, infidelity, intimacy problems, and difficulties managing parenting or financial stress. Therapy can help couples understand their relationship patterns, find ways to resolve conflict, and strengthen their emotional bond.

My approach
My aim as a relational couples therapist is to support you to improve the relationship as a whole, not to take sides or place blame. My role is to remain neutral, helping each person feel heard and to understand each other's perspectives, improve communication, and build a stronger, more connected relationship. This involves identifying and addressing negative patterns of communication and behaviour, and developing healthier conflict resolution skills.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Qualifications include:

  • Diploma of Higher Education in Humanistic Gestalt Counselling
  • Certificate in Relational Couples Therapy
  • Diploma in Supervision
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion
  • BSc (Hons) Psychology
  • ADHD Clinical Services Provider
  • Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling

I also attend regular and varied training, which has included sessions or courses on trauma, anxiety, depression, the impact of sexual violence, birth trauma, baby loss, postnatal depression, living with ADHD, and many others.

Alongside my counselling work in private practice, I also offer Clinical Supervision to other therapists and helping professionals, and I am the Clinical Lead for a counselling service charity in Winchester.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
