About me

Starting therapy can seem daunting and scary at first. But it's the first step you have taken to embark on this journey. Feeling isolated and not able to make sense of the world around you? Questioning all that you have grown up with? Racing thoughts constantly clouding your mind? Feeling detached, anxious or upset? Not sure how to process what you are experiencing? All this seems pretty overwhelming but more common than you think. Through acceptance and kindness why not allow yourself to be able to make sense of all this through therapy. Let each session speak for itself and discover different parts of yourself.

I can offer a different take and perspective on things due to my diverse background. Life can be seen in a multitude of ways and I'd like to challenge the belief systems we have grown with but doing it with empathy, compassion and kindness. I am approachable and easy to open up to. Through whichever way you prefer, allow me to accompany you on this journey.

I take a personalized approach to therapy, collaborating with you to create a plan that fits your unique needs. In our initial sessions, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, and I'll bring insights from my background to help guide our work together. As a neurodivergent therapist, I connect well with neurodivergent clients, offering a deeper understanding and tailored support.

Life can be challenging with its ups and downs. I get it, we have all been there. But why go through it alone? Give it a shot and see if you'd connect with me and we can navigate the messiness of life together, finding our own pockets of peace.

Training, qualifications & experience

Training: University of Edinburgh - Master of Counselling (Interpersonal Dialogue)

BACP Member

I have been working in this field for nearly a decade and have extensive experience working with children, young adults, adults and the elderly. I am a licensed therapist in the UK and work in person from Edinburgh.

I use a mix of Person-Centered and Psychodynamic therapy in my practice. In our first session, we will get to know each other and explore what you are looking for and then decide and come up with appropriate ways we can make progress together. It will be a safe and judgement free zone where we will look at any emotions and thoughts you are having and see how to manage them with you feeling better.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
