About me

Hi, I’m Naomi, a qualified counsellor offering a calm, understanding space for you to unpack whatever’s going on in your world.

Life can feel like a lot sometimes. What might be a “2” for someone else can feel like a “10” for you, and that’s completely valid. We all experience things differently, and those differences deserve respect and care, not comparison. If you’ve hit your “10” and want help to process it, I’m your girl.

I work with people from all walks of life, and I have a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent clients, whether you’re formally diagnosed, self-identified, or just beginning to explore what that might mean for you. I know that navigating a world that often feels built for someone else can be exhausting, and therapy can be a place to pause, make sense of things, and find your own way of being that feels right for you.

My approach is personable, and integrative, meaning I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I tailor our sessions around you: what you need, what feels safe, and what helps you make sense of things at your pace.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my mix of empathy, humour, and straight-talking honesty. My role isn’t to fix you, it’s to walk alongside you while you rediscover what makes you feel steady, confident and more “you” again.

I offer in person and online sessions of around 50 minute, and I’m happy to have an initial chat so you can see whether I’m the right fit for you.

Everyone’s “10” looks different, and yours matters. So if you’re ready, pop me a text/email/call and we can go from there. You got this.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold Level 2 and 3 Certificates in Counselling and a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. My training allows me to draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, adapting how I work to suit each person’s unique needs and pace.

I’ve spent around two and a half years counselling within a charitable organisation, supporting people through a wide variety of challenges, from anxiety and loss to identity and relationship issues. For just over a year, I’ve also been running my own private practice, continuing that same commitment to creating a safe, collaborative space for clients to explore what matters most to them.

Outside of formal training, I’m a bit of a lifelong learner, I love reading, watching documentaries, and attending seminars that deepen my understanding of people and the world we live in. When it comes to my continuous professional development, I choose courses that either fill a gap in my knowledge or explore approaches I wouldn’t naturally gravitate toward. For me, that balance helps strengthen my confidence in what I do use in the therapy room, and keeps my practice grounded, thoughtful, and open.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
