About me

I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling to make sense of what they’re experiencing. This might relate to anxiety, low mood, trauma, loss, or major life changes, or a more general sense that something doesn’t feel right. Therapy offers a space to slow things down, explore what’s been difficult, and begin to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. Alongside my broader work, I have a focus on men’s mental health, providing a confidential and understanding space where men can explore their emotions, past experiences, and pressures faced in life.

I’m Myles, a counsellor and psychotherapist and founder of Obelisk Psychological Therapies. I’m an accredited member of the NCPS and trained in psychology at the University of Liverpool and the University of Manchester. I later completed a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice, strengthening my focus on relational, in-depth therapy.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space. As a pluralistic therapist, I draw on different approaches rather than a one-size-fits-all model. Therapy is collaborative and shaped around your goals, values, and what matters most to you. Sessions take place online, offering privacy, flexibility, and access to therapy without the need to travel.

Supporting Men’s Mental Health

Alongside working with individuals experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, I have a particular interest in supporting men’s mental health.

Many men come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, low, anxious, or unsure how to move forward, yet may find it difficult to speak openly about their experiences. Social and cultural expectations can sometimes make it harder to express vulnerability or seek support.

I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where men can explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, relationship difficulties, addiction, identity, or the impact of past trauma. Therapy can provide an opportunity to develop greater emotional awareness, resilience, and clarity about the direction you want to take.

Working With Neurodiverse Individuals

I have experience supporting neurodivergent adults, including those who identify as autistic, ADHD, or who experience other neurodiverse traits.

Everyone thinks, feels, and processes the world differently, and I adapt my approach so that therapy feels accessible, clear, and supportive for you. Many neurodivergent clients come to therapy feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or exhausted from masking or navigating environments that may not fully accommodate their needs. My aim is to provide a neurodiversity-affirming space where you can develop strategies and understanding that feel aligned with who you are.

Further information

At Obelisk Psychological Therapies, I offer a calm, reflective space to explore emotional difficulties and life challenges. Sessions support understanding patterns, processing difficult experiences, and building resilience. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to each person's needs.

I describe myself as a pluralistic therapist because I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Every person is unique, and so the therapy should be too. I work collaboratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic methods, but always guided by your goals, your pace, and your story.

At Obelisk Psychological Therapies, our focus is on you - your story, your needs, and your goals.
