MSc Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Counsellor

About me

My work includes supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD and relationship difficulties. As well as the emotional consequences of trauma and bereavement. I bring focused experience navigating cultural identity and family issues, and the complexities of how these contexts shape your wellbeing. Alongside this, I hold experience supporting those whom experience suicidal ideations, helping them process their feelings safely and develop practical coping strategies.

Change often begins in the space where you’re allowed to speak freely. I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist offering one-to-one therapy for adults, both in person and online. Some people come to therapy wanting short-term, focused support, while others are seeking longer-term, open-ended work. With me, we’ll shape the therapy and pace around you and what feels manageable, rather than forcing you into a fixed model.

My way of working is relational and collaborative. That means we work together, side by side, in a safe and confidential space where you can talk openly about what’s going on for you; your thoughts, your feelings and patterns that might keep showing up in your life influencing how you relate to yourself and to others.

Starting therapy can feel scary, so I offer a free initial phone consultation. This gives you a chance to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and see whether we feel like a good fit. If we decide to continue, the first session will be 60 minutes, allowing enough time to explore what’s brought you to therapy and your background. There is no commitment to continue, however, if you would like to, ongoing sessions will be 50 minutes held weekly, offering you a regular supportive and steady space.

My hope is that therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply, find new ways of managing your struggles, and feel a better connection to yourself and to others. I will support you in gaining clarity, developing coping strategies to help you move towards meaningful change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc and am qualified in Psychotherapy and Psychodynamic Counselling. I’m an MBACP registered practitioner. My training was rigorous and deeply reflective, combining clinical work, personal therapy, and ongoing supervision experiences that continue to shape how I work with my clients today.

Over the years, I’ve worked in various clinical settings, including The Good Mental Health & Co and City and East London Bereavement Service, as well as The Samaritans. I support people through a wide range of difficulties, from moments of acute crisis to longer-term, depth-focused therapeutic work. I work to meet you where you are emotionally, offering care, thoughtfulness, and respect for your lived experience.

I take my responsibility to clients seriously. I’m committed to ethical, reflective practice and ongoing professional development, so the therapy I offer is not only thoughtful and effective, but also safe, reliable, and grounded in professional standards. Above all, my aim is to offer a steady, trusting therapeutic relationship where meaningful change can take place.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
