About me

Hello, I’m Miles. I work with children (13+) & adults, providing long term trauma informed therapy & counselling. Sexual abuse, rape & incest, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ identity, anxiety, depression, anger management, bereavement, sex, relationship & pornography issues, and more, are areas I work with.

I specialise in long term weekly therapy, offering you a consistent safe space for you to express and explore what’s on your mind. This provides a routine of self care and self reflection each week. We can work at your pace, with your goals and needs at the centre of our work together.

Everyone is capable of change, we can all expand our ability to manage and express emotions such as anxiety, anger, sadness, grief or stress. We all have the capacity to improve our relationships, including our relationship with ourselves. I offer a relaxed, creative, warm and safe environment for you to focus on yourself, explore your experiences and find new parts of yourself.

It’s ok if you don’t have a clear goal or reason for therapy. Perhaps something in your life is feeling stuck or unfulfilling, or a part of you is feeling uncomfortable or misunderstood, maybe totally invisible. Perhaps there is a feeling, a thought, image, a physical sensation, a relationship or memory that is bothering you.

I work in a trauma informed, patriarchy informed, transphobia and queerphobia informed, and neurodiversity informed way. All people and experiences are welcome.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
