About me
In the work we do together, I am led by you. I bring warmth, compassion and integrity to the work and always seek to create with you a place of safety where we can explore possibilities for healing and growth. Together, we might explore and develop awareness around the life choices you have made and may wish to make, in the face of issues that may trouble you in the present and have their roots in the past.
I work with a broad range of issues that may be to do with relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, depression, loss, trauma, family history and life fulfilment.
I offer 50 minute sessions on both short and long term contracts, both online and in rooms at Number 42 Psychotherapy and Well-Being service at London Bridge SE1 1XW. I also run Pesso Boyden Personal Development groups in London and Folkestone.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma and an advanced Diploma in Contemporary Psychotherapy and I also trained as a Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor therapist.
I have a degree in English and American Studies from Manchester and a PGCE from London. I have worked as a teacher, musician and theatre composer and in social and palliative care as a creative artist, care manager and therapist.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor is a unique way of realising our potential to live a more fulfilling and satisfying life by connecting with the wisdom of successful living that we were born with. We do this by reimagining our past and creating new memories which can serve as an antidote to the restrictive narratives we tell ourselves.
This work typically takes place in a group, whose aim is to create the circumstances in which the person in a therapeutic process (called a 'structure') can have healing experience through creating new memories with the help of 'ideal' figures. I currently run day-long groups in London and Folkestone with a colleague.
