About me
My name is Michaela and I appreciate you stopping by and looking at my profile. Maybe you are feeling stuck, confused, at a crossroads, overwhelmed? Or struggling with your mental health, feeling anxious, low or depressed?
With over 10 years of experience, I can help you work through any issues that are disturbing you. Together we can explore ways to help you move forward and develop confidence, resilience, understanding and lasting change.
I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor, Supervisor and Coach. I began my journey in Coaching in 2012 and qualified as a Counsellor in 2015. I see individuals, couples, and young people from age 12, offering a safe and comfortable space either in-person from Maidstone in Kent, or on-line.
I work within a charitable setting and in private practice. I have plenty of life experience around the complexities and demands of life from education, work, parenting, trauma, grief and loss. I respect and encourage client autonomy, and my approach is warm, supportive and non-judgemental.
I draw on a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existential whilst incorporating Mindfulness and working somatically where appropriate. I am a Trauma informed therapist and have supported people affected by childhood and other trauma, for over 10 years.
I work with a diverse range of difficulties including Anxiety; Depression; OCD compulsions; Trauma (including, but not limited to, sexual and domestic abuse); Neurodivergence; Identity; Sexuality; School and Workplace difficulties; Overwhelm; Parenting; Relationships (couples and parent/child); Dementia and Ageing.
If you are seeking a supportive Counsellor or Coach to guide you through life's challenges or injustices, and who can help you develop confidence, resilience, understanding and lasting change, then please get in contact.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
