About me
I am a person-centred counsellor, utilising a range of different tools to explore and provide a space for relating to those everyday life stresses. Working alongside anxiety, depression, experiences of trauma and loss. I believe in the right relationship at the right time, with the right support can help us all with the challenges of life. Working in a safe space to explore where you are in life’s journey, can often be enough to guide our next steps.
Within the counselling work I aim to build a relationship of trust in a confidential space, where you are able to process life events and think about where you may be stuck or have worries. The focus of the work is to provide a self-fulfilling confidence and acceptance, with insight to yourself, what you want to be different or change within your current life circumstances. Sometimes we just want to share the burden of life and need time within the right space to consider what has happened.
I have worked within several organisations to support others having experienced a bereavement, struggling and coping with anxiety/depression, relationship trauma, sexual violence and domestic abuse. I have experience of working with a diverse group of clients, struggling with the challenges of society around identity and difference. I have worked with children, young people and families who have experienced early life family trauma and abuse.
Tailoring work to enable your growth and to meet your needs, I would like to hear what you want from counselling work and offer a 20-minute free conversation over the phone or online. This provides a confidential discussion to see if what I do is what you want and to start the process of building our relationship.
