About me

A comfortable space to be heard and be yourself
Have you been struggling with something that’s troubling you and weighing you down? Sometimes, reaching out and asking for help can feel very daunting. It can often feel like the last resort. You may feel unsure who to talk to and how to express yourself.

I offer integrative therapeutic counselling to individuals who have a specific issue or just feel the need to talk through their emotions and experiences. Whatever might be troubling you, I offer a safe and confidential place where you can talk freely and explore whatever is on your mind; I am not here to judge you. You’ll feel listened to, for your story to be heard and in your own words - giving you the space to just be you.

I use a gentle and compassionate style as we journey together to find what can best support you, including helping you make more sense of things and exploring resources that can aid you with better managing your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I draw on a range of therapy models to better support your unique and individual needs.

I work with people who are facing a variety of difficulties, such as stress and anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement and loss, illness, relationship issues, abuse, trauma, PTSD and suicidal thoughts.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
