About me

I am a BACP Integrative Psychotherapist (BS / BSc) (MSc) (INC), with 8+ years experience working in the field of mental health. I have specific experience within both the private and public sectors, working with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem/identity challenges, relationship struggles, substance misuse, and food-related difficulties.

I employ a creative, adaptive, and holistic approach to mental health, addressing not just an individual's symptoms, but ones overall quality of life. Having personally experienced the profound impact of therapy, I dedicate myself to providing that same space for others. I am devoted to fostering a secure, compassionate, and inquisitive environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their inner lives and cultivate a deeper understanding of their interpersonal connections and place in the world. My practice is rooted in the belief that healing occurs through a balance of creative expression, physical movement, mindful nourishment, and interpersonal relationships.

Within our therapy, we may explore opportunities for repairable experiences, emotional regulation, and work on practical tools that best support you. My collaborative approach prioritises fostering lasting growth and well-being by cultivating mindfulness, compassion, and connection. I believe my role as a therapist is to provide individuals with the things they need in order to thrive.

I operate within an anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and intersectional framework. I also have experience supporting those navigating neurodiversity. The responsibility of supporting individuals during vulnerable times is a task that I uphold with the highest level of care and respect.

Training, qualifications & experience

As a dedicated mental health professional, I provide a holistic and integrative approach to well-being. My practice is grounded in a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which provides a rigorous scientific foundation in human behavior and cognitive processes. I specialized in a Post-Graduate Distinction Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, with my training including two awarded certificates in therapeutic skills and studies.

I am also a qualified Integrative Nutritional Health Coach. This allows me to incorporate the biopsychosocial model of health, addressing how nutrition and lifestyle factors influence neurochemistry and emotional regulation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I offer an optional complimentary 20-minute introductory consultation prior to booking an initial session. While this conversation does not constitute a formal therapy session, it serves as a valuable opportunity for us to explore your goals and for you to get a sense if my approach is the right fit for your current specific needs. It is important to select a therapist who resonates with you.

Within our initial session, we will collaboratively explore our therapeutic agreement. During this process, I will share things such as privacy rules, cancellation policies, and provide time for you to ask any questions. At your own pace, we will explore what brings you here; this may include thinking about symptoms, personal histories, and current support systems. It is common to feel nervous, awkward, or even blank when first meeting a new therapist. I hold this in mind, seeking to offer a gentle and supportive space, ensuring you feel safe as we look into your current challenges together.
