About me
You may be someone who others see as capable, dependable, and holding everything together — yet internally feel exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or quietly struggling.
I work with high-achieving individuals who are used to carrying responsibility for others but have lost connection with themselves in the process. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, overthinking, burnout, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or the feeling that they are constantly “holding it all together” while their own needs go unmet.
Often, clients come to therapy during periods of transition — relationship strain or breakdown, career pressure, burnout, identity shifts, or a growing awareness that the way they have always coped is no longer sustainable.
My work is relational, trauma-informed, and somatically aware. Together, we explore the patterns that have shaped how you relate to yourself and others, particularly where responsibility, self-sacrifice, masking, or over-functioning have become ways of staying safe, accepted, or in control.
I believe therapy is not about asking “what is wrong with you?” but understanding what has happened to you, how your experiences have shaped you, and whether the patterns that once protected you still serve you now.
Clients often describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to themselves through the work we do together.
Therapy may involve:
understanding relationship and attachment patterns
reconnecting with emotions and bodily awareness
building boundaries and self-trust
reducing self-criticism and perfectionism
exploring authenticity, values, and alignment
developing more sustainable and fulfilling relationships
I also work with neurodivergent individuals and understand how masking, feeling different, or carrying responsibility from an early age can impact emotional wellbeing and identity.
Alongside counselling, I provide clinical and reflective supervision for therapists and professionals in people-facing roles.
I offer online therapy worldwide, as well as face-to-face sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor (Distinction) and a Clinical Supervisor, with postgraduate-level learning in Strategic Leadership and Entrepreneurship. I bring over 20 years of experience in the community and charity sector, including 12 years in mental health and pan-disability support.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families facing the impact of addictions, domestic abuse, trauma, relationship breakdowns, low self-worth, parenting challenges, burnout, anxiety and depression. I have also supported people navigating the realities of ADHD, Autism and neurodiversity, helping them find belonging in a world built largely for neurotypical thinkers.
My work in the charity sector has focused on the effects of oppression, poverty, disability, trauma and addictions, and has shown me first-hand how current mental health services often fail people due to long waiting lists that lead to crisis intervention. I believe passionately in early intervention—building education, awareness and self-understanding as a practical toolkit for wellness.
I work from a trauma-informed and holistic perspective, exploring what has happened to you rather than what is “wrong” with you. My integrative approach combines trauma therapy, somatic practices and physical wellbeing techniques, recognising that we are whole beings whose mind and body must work together in healing.
Alongside counselling, I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and non-therapeutic practitioners, guiding ethical practice, resilience and professional growth.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
