About me

If things aren't going well at the moment and you feel alone then maybe I can help? I offer the opportunity to explore whatever may be causing you pain and anxiety in a safe and caring space. Rather than stick to a particular methodology or a standard script of answers I offer a service which is a dialogue and a joint exploration of your thoughts and feelings with regards to your situation.

Some people come because they want short term help with a particular issue which may be causing them problems with getting on with the process of living. Other people come because they would like to work longer term with a complexity of issues sometimes originating from childhood.

Whatever is worrying you book an initial session and see if working with me helps make a difference.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have undergone seven years of training which has included a psychiatric placement as well as having a private practice. I'm a member of the UKCP and a full member of GAP (Guild of Analytical Psychology).

My training included a brief NHS psychiatric placement and I have also worked in private practice during my training and as a qualified analyst. I have experienced years of personal analysis and I have regular supervision.

The Jungian approach is both unique and holistic. The therapy involves both of us working together to gain insight on any issues you wish to bring. I come from a creative perspective which enlarges my therapeutic practice. I also have experience of teaching, parenting and step parenting which means I’m familiar with different learning styles and developmental issues. Jungian analysis and psychotherapy can be incredibly healing for clients who have experienced traumatic events through childhood or adolescence.

I am also interested in working with people in leadership roles.

I also have a pet dog so I also appreciate the healing that animals can bring into our lives.

I’m currently doing a PhD in Counterterrorism and Deradicalization.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
