About me
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my page. I provide a safe, confidential, and supportive therapeutic space where you can feel heard and understood as you explore emotional challenges, gain insight, and work towards healing, growth, and meaningful change.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults, children, and young people, drawing on my training as an NCPS-accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a Developmental and Therapeutic Play Specialist (Associate Member of Play Therapy UK).
My approach is trauma-informed, with a specialist focus on attachment-based trauma. I have extensive experience supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, particularly those who are looked after or in care. I also support adults living with the lasting effects of childhood trauma, helping them understand and navigate its ongoing impact.
I believe meaningful change happens within a trusting, safe, and supportive environment that allows healing and growth to unfold. Therapy is a collaborative process, built on trust, empathy, and understanding. My aim is to help you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional wellbeing, and to navigate life’s challenges with compassion and confidence.
I work ethically in line with the NCPS Code of Ethics, and my practice is fully insured and confidential.

Experience
Working with Adults
I have many years of experience supporting children, young people, families, and adults within both local authority and third sector settings. Throughout this time, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the challenges people face and a strong commitment to promoting positive outcomes and holistic wellbeing. My work has always centred on helping individuals feel valued, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs, drawing on a range of evidence-informed therapeutic models. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where adults can explore their experiences, understand the root cause of their difficulties, and develop effective coping strategies. Alongside talking therapy, I may also use creative and experiential methods, such as imagery, metaphor, or symbolic expression, offering alternative ways to explore emotions and experiences that can be difficult to put into words.
I specialise in working with unresolved childhood trauma and the impact of relational and attachment difficulties, which can continue to shape emotional wellbeing and relationships in adulthood. My work focuses on helping individuals understand how early attachment patterns influence their sense of self, connection with others, and capacity for emotional regulation, supporting them to build greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.
I also support adults struggling with a range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety, stress, and low mood
- Bereavement and loss
- Emotional regulation challenges
- ADHD and ASD-related difficulties
- Relationship or family issues
- Low confidence and self-esteem
- Addiction and recovery
- Feeling lost, stuck, or unable to move forward
My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, with Person-Centred Therapy at the core, providing a compassionate, non-judgmental framework that fosters trust, self-awareness, and personal growth. This is complemented by psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a range of other evidence-informed modalities, allowing me to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs. My practice is further informed by attachment theory, developmental psychology, and interpersonal neurobiology to support healing, resilience, and meaningful, lasting change.
Working with Children, Young People & Families
I have extensive experience supporting children, young people, and families who have experienced trauma, loss, or complex emotional and behavioural needs.
My work is trauma-informed and attachment-focused guided by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), therapeutic play, and the creative arts. These approaches provide developmentally informed, experiential ways for children and young people to express feelings, process experiences, and build emotional regulation and resilience when words alone may be difficult to find.
I also support CYP struggling with a range of difficulties, including:
- ADHD and ASD
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Challenging behaviours
- Developmental trauma and attachment issues
I provide a safe, trusting environment that promotes growth and self-regulation. My approach also draws on a range of therapeutic models and psychoeducation, and I develop and deliver trauma-informed training for professionals and caregivers.
