About me
Finding Me Therapy..... How may I help?
If you’re considering therapy, chances are you’re feeling a little lost right now. Perhaps you’re struggling to find yourself again or grieving the loss of someone you love. Maybe you feel overwhelmed by past or present trauma, anxiety, depression, or low self-worth. Or maybe you’re tired of feeling stuck and numb to the world but unsure of how to move forward in your life.
Maybe you are grieving the loss of a significant relationship or the partner you once knew, struggling to find ways to communicate and feeling unheard or trapped in recurring patterns, just remember that you don’t have to go through it alone.
My Approach to therapy...
I am passionate about therapy and working relationally with my clients, I have extensive experience in working with a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I work relationally and intuitively, tailoring each session - whether you’re an individual searching for clarity or a couple looking to rebuild understanding.
My integrative, trauma-informed approach combines psychodynamic therapy, humanistic interventions and cognitive behavioural therapy, offering both structure and creativity within our therapeutic work. Using the tools of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing), we can explore and unblock past trauma, reprocess difficult memories, and use innovative techniques to unlock deeper healing in a way that feels organic and personal to you.
While our sessions will often have a focus on the "here and now," we may also look back through your childhood to your attachment, childhood experiences or significant relationships to other, all of which have led to the way in which you connect in relationship now and form a basis of your patterns of behaviour and core-beliefs.
At times, I can be challenging and straight-talking, but always with kindness, warmth and respect, because if you’re here, you’re looking for change, and sometimes we all need a little guidance in the right direction. We will often find a humorous moment too, because even in the toughest of times, laughter can be a powerful tool for healing.
Through Finding Me Therapy, my goal is to support you in uncovering the most authentic version of yourself. Together, we will find the you that you’ve been searching for.

Training, qualifications & experience
BACKGROUND
I was trained as an integrative psychotherapist studying a combination of Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, before taking up employment as a counsellor for a local counselling charity.
It was here that I honed my skills and developed my own sense of being, through the teachings of many experienced, knowledgeable and supportive role models.
Over time and now with years of experience, I feel that I have developed my own unique way of working with clients and couples', incorporating a blend of modalities and with a natural leaning towards psychodynamic therapy.
Most recently, I have embarked on becoming an EMDR practitioner, trained at The Alexandra Richmond Institute in London.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
