About me
I live and work in South Pembrokeshire offering face to face and online psychotherapy and counselling. My work's orientation is holistic to include experience of mind, body and heart in the service of you, your integration and sense of wellbeing. Adults of any age and stage of life are welcome, from 18 years old until the end. Life can be hard and overwhelming, and my aim is to offer a clear space for you to come and be yourself whether things are falling apart or coming together. My approach is trauma informed, professional and friendly.
Training, qualifications & experience
My background is in physical health, first as nurse, then as Traditional Chinese acupuncturist. When I decided to train as a psychotherapist, I looked for a vigorous and in depth training choosing The Welsh Psychotherapy Institute leading to full accreditation with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy (level 7) - Welsh Psychotherapy Institute.
Diploma in Relational Mindfulness - Karuna Institute.
Many and ongoing CPD trainings including extensive trainings in Trauma and Shame. I have a certificate in Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) - levels 1 and 2, and an ongoing Mindfulness training. I am currently interested in developing creativity for whole health and self expression.
I have nursing experience in palliative care and worked for several years as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care. I have been in psychotherapeutic private practice for 5 years.
I am a professional member of:
- Welsh Psychotherapy Institute
- United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy
- United Kingdom Association of Gestalt Psychotherapy
I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I wish that psychotherapy and counselling were available to all free of charge. Sadly, this is not the reality. In small part, I offer 3x concessionary places that I am happy to discuss with you. Availability for these is regularly updated on the website.
