About me
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite like yourself - and you’re looking for someone who understands what you’re carrying. Many of the people I work with describe feeling exhausted, anxious, burnt out, or weighed down by experiences they haven’t had space to process. If that resonates, you’re in the right place.
I’m Louise, an MBACP‑registered counsellor offering calm, steady, confidential support. My approach is gentle and collaborative - we go at your pace, exploring what’s happening for you with curiosity rather than pressure. You don’t need to have the “right words” or know where to start. We begin wherever you are.
I work with adults online across the UK and internationally.
How I can help you
People often come to me when they’re experiencing:
- Anxiety, overthinking, or constant worry
- Burnout, overwhelm, or emotional exhaustion
- Low mood, numbness, or feeling disconnected
- Stress from work, relationships, or life transitions
- Trauma, difficult memories, or unresolved experiences
- A sense of “I should be coping better than this”
Together, we create a space where you can slow down, breathe, and make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface. My role isn’t to judge or tell you what to do - it’s to help you understand yourself more deeply, feel supported, and find steadier ground.
What sessions are like
- Online, from the privacy of your own space
- Weekly or fortnightly
- Calm, steady, and at your pace
- No pressure to share more than you’re ready for
- A space where you can be fully yourself
Clients often tell me they feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded after sessions - not because everything is “fixed”, but because they finally have room to breathe.
My approach
My work is rooted in a person‑centred, trauma‑aware approach. This means:
- You lead the pace
- Your experiences are respected
- We explore gently, not forcefully
- Your emotions are met with compassion, not analysis
- We focus on what matters most to you
I integrate grounding, emotional regulation, and reflective techniques where helpful, always tailored to your needs.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Blue Light & NHS support
Alongside my general practice, I have a strong focus on supporting NHS and Blue Light professionals. Many people in these roles carry experiences that are intense, cumulative, and often unseen. You may be used to coping, pushing through, or being the one others rely on - but that doesn’t mean you don’t need support too.
In our work, you can talk openly about the impact of your role, the emotional load you carry, and the parts of the job that stay with you long after a shift ends. This is a space where you don’t have to be “the strong one”.

"Get in Touch with Louise. There has been such a big improvement in my overall wellbeing".
I’ve been speaking to Louise for the past 7 weeks, and wow! There’s been SUCH a big improvement in my overall wellbeing. What I love is that she ‘gets’ the job, being a paramedic herself, so when I talk about things like lifting bags or carrying a patient out, she knows exactly what I mean.
Louise has taken so much of her time to really listen, not just to the trauma I’ve been through, but to everything that’s going on in my life. She’s introduced me to different models and ways of thinking that have genuinely helped reframe my thoughts and stop the spiral into catastrophising.
I’ve spoken to plenty of people over the years, but it’s just different when someone truly understands the kind of work we do, the things we see and how that affects us. The kind of stuff that might be “normal” to us would be totally shocking to someone outside of our world, so being able to talk to someone who already gets that means the support is actually relevant and helpful, and I’ve never felt judged.
So whether it’s work-related or things going on in your personal life, get in touch with Louise. I would highly recommend her and her passion to help.

"Thank you for the last 12 weeks".
Thanks Louise, and thank you for the last 12 weeks. Being able to talk through my issues has been very beneficial and has enabled me to realise that I cannot change an idyllic dream, but I can change the dynamics of our relationship to a more positive experience for myself by maintaining boundaries and retaining my self-worth.
Thank you again
