About me
L.M. Therapeutic Counselling is an award winning, reputable and reliable counselling service based in Craigavon. With over 10 years of experience in this line of business, I am a fully qualified and licensed counsellor offering professional counselling to clients who are going through emotional difficulties, trauma, stress, childhood abuse, addiction and relationship issues. I also provide training and group therapy sessions to help the community understand and get over your pain and anguish.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a 45 year old woman, who is classed as disabled after two serious accidents but maintains a positive approach, leading a full and active life within the constraints of my disability. Having experienced such a severe life changing experience and gained acceptance through personal exploration, study and personal therapy, my empathy is genuine and my positive regard is truly unconditional. Having worked both voluntary and full-time for the last 16years within the addictions, counselling and criminal justice areas with both adults and young people, able bodied and disabled, I feel this with my own experience has given me the opportunity to understand the problems faced by clients and the vulnerable groups in our communities, from childhood to adulthood and how these individuals lives could be positively altered with the right supports to allow and encourage cognitive development and the capacity to understand and regulate their own emotions, becoming proud of who they are.
I am hardworking, conscientious and a caring counsellor with what I consider to be an extensive experience of working with a wide range of clients from all backgrounds, offering support, rehabilitation, and guidance to those who have suffered trauma or hardship, empathically, whilst retaining an objective and realistic approach to their treatment and therapy.
