Working with Me
I offer a calm and confidential space for thoughtful, in-depth exploration. The pace of the work is something we shape together, and sessions are available one to three times per week, depending on what feels appropriate and sustainable. This is a space where you’re invited to speak freely, and where we can pay close attention to what’s unfolding — whether through patterns that repeat, emotions that feel out of place, or thoughts that seem at odds with each other. Often, the process involves slowing down enough to hear what’s been overlooked or pushed aside.
At the heart of psychoanalytic psychotherapy is the relationship between therapist and client. Together, we’ll explore how early experiences, unconscious patterns, and inner conflicts may be shaping your present life — and how your difficulties might be pointing toward something that is ready to shift or be understood in a new way. This work offers a space to go beneath the surface and explore what might be asking for change.
I also work with dreams, art, and symbolic material, which can give form to parts of the psyche that may not yet have found expression in everyday life.
I work from a psychosocial perspective, which means I attend not only to your inner world, but also to the wider context you live in — including the impact of identity, culture, race, gender, sexuality, class, environment, and migration. These dimensions are not separate from personal experience, but deeply intertwined with it. We can also explore the ways that collective, intergenerational, or systemic forms of harm might be carried in the present.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a background in mental health and crisis intervention, and I undertook a rigorous, in-depth training in psychoanalytic and Jungian psychotherapy, supported by extensive supervision throughout.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a therapeutic community grounded in the tradition of critical psychiatry —supporting a shared living environment where residents explored their emotional lives together.
I have also coordinated a low-cost psychotherapy service in North London, and managed a mental health helpline, where I was responsible for the training and supervision of volunteers, as well as the ongoing development of the service.
Alongside my private practice, I currently teach clinical theory and practice and act as tutor on psychotherapy training programmes.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
