About me

As an experienced Integrative Therapist working in Guildford and Woking, I have many years of training and experience and I am a member of the BACP, a professional body with a strict code of ethics for professional practice, which I abide by.

I am able to draw on skills from a variety of therapeutic models, so I can tailor my approach to your individual needs.

Together we can explore aspects of your life you feel you are struggling with, clarify issues and work though your anxiety to understand the underlying causes. I can support and facilitate your journey while you process and understand your feelings at your pace.

I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space, in beautiful rooms and calm surroundings, where you can find solace, privacy and support.

Please feel welcome to talk to me about an initial consultation.

During my 8 years of training, from 1999 - 2007 I worked with a diverse range of clients. The necessary requirement of personal psychoanalysis and supervision throughout informed my frame for the well-being of myself and clients. I was fortunate to work at the prestigious WPF with a rigorous pursuit of excellence for gold standard ethics and standards of practice. I practiced Psychodynamic Counselling initially. My training progressed using integrative/existential theory and practice, enabling my integrative journey. I continued working as an integrative therapist, offering open ended contracts for a further two years before working for the NHS.

At the NHS, I was fortunate to specialise in the area of neurological rehabilitation at the Bradley Unit in Woking, an acute setting working with patients and their families. During the 5 year period, I worked alongside the multi-disciplinary teams specifically with brain injury, including trauma patients, disability, stroke, Parkinson’s, M.S., and Dementia (early onset). In most cases I worked with 65+, except for trauma victims and early onset neurological illness. During this time I offered time limited therapy due to the nature of the work and NHS waiting lists. The NHS cut the funding for the team offering this service and I continued in private practice, to offer both time limited, and open ended contracts.

I am experienced in all areas of Counselling with 19 years experience.

Specialism: Parkinsons, MS, Stroke, Dementia, Disability. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. M.E.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
