About me
Hi, I’m Lisa, a qualified Relational Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.
I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can slow down, feel safe, and be truly heard. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely, especially when you're carrying pain that’s difficult to name or share. My role is to support you in gently exploring what’s going on beneath the surface, at a pace that feels right for you.
I am Humanistic and Integratively trained, and my approach is grounded in empathy, presence, and respect for your unique story. I work with individuals aged 16 and up, and have supported people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. Some of the areas I work with include anxiety, grief and loss, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, relationship and family struggles, college and university transitions, childhood/attachment trauma, identity and abandonment wounds.
These experiences can be incredibly complex and difficult, but I’ve seen how transformative it can be to begin making sense of them in a supportive space. Our work together won’t be about quick fixes or pushing through pain. Instead, we’ll create room for curiosity, reflection, and healing, so you can feel more connected to yourself and more empowered in your life.
I have a particular passion for working with people navigating relationship or parenting challenges, including those who are single or separating parents. This is something I bring to the work with both professional insight and personal understanding.
If any of this resonates with you, please feel free to get in touch. You don’t have to have everything figured out, just a willingness to begin.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
