About me

Hi there, thank you for visiting my profile. I am Lisa Ann, an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor. My practice is grounded in a person centred approach and I believe that we are all unique, that we are experts in our own story! Being Integrative allows me to draw from a range of different modalities, and apply them to best suit your needs as the client. Sometimes life can be very difficult and can leave us feeling stuck between a rock and a hard place. If you want to seek some help getting out of that hard place, then please get in touch and lets see if I can help you. Being human is tough, but rest assured your not alone!

My position as a counsellor is not to tell you what to do. My role is to respectively try to help you work on the issues you wish to work on, and to help you find the best possible solutions that will aid you on your healing journey.

I am committed to holding a safe, confidential, and empathic space for you as a client. A space where thoughts and feelings can be shared, where you can be free to be yourself without judgement.

Taking the first steps to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

I understand how vitally important it is for you as the client to get the right counsellor, the right match. This is important in making sure you get the outcomes you want throughout, and at the end of your therapy.

I offer a free initial consultation, please get in touch, and lets see if I can help you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have excellent counselling experience, knowledge and skills. Achieved throughout my training, and practice. I have completed and achieved my HNC and HND in Counselling. As well as a PDA in Addictions and Business.

I am also trained in Ecotherapy: Walk & Talk therapy.

My previous work experiences and training as a carer and support worker of 7 years has contributed to my clinical quality.

I have worked with a wide range of clients who have had issues with stress, anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, dealing with the impacts of trauma, family conflicts, and many more.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
