About me

General Information
I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults individually or as couples on both a short-term and longer-term basis. Sessions provide a confidential and supportive space to explore whatever may be troubling you, at a pace that feels manageable.

I work in a person-centred and relational way, with a strong focus on building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. Where helpful, I may integrate trauma-informed and practical approaches to support you in managing difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why they feel the way they do. Together, we can begin to understand patterns, process past experiences, and find ways of coping that feel more manageable and sustainable.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and the impact of unhealthy or difficult relationships, including narcissistic abuse and coercive control.

I work with people who feel stuck after difficult or toxic relationships, or who are dealing with anxiety, overthinking, or a loss of confidence in themselves.

A lot of my clients look like they’re coping on the outside, but underneath feel overwhelmed, on edge, or unsure of themselves. I offer a space to properly talk things through, make sense of what’s going on, and start to feel more steady again.

I also work with couples experiencing challenges such as communication difficulties, conflict, loss of trust, and life transitions, offering a supportive space to strengthen understanding and create positive change together.

I also offer support around perinatal mental health, including postnatal depression.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are available online, as well as in person in Edinburgh and Lanark. I currently offer appointments Monday to Thursday during daytime hours.
