About me

Therapy is a very personal journey, the first step is finding a therapist that understands you, your needs and can resonate with your way of processing and seeing the world.

Why work with me?

With over 11 years of experience in various therapeutic modalities and settings, I work with adults, children and young people.  I specialise in providing support and interventions that empower individuals to step into their true selves with confidence and compassion.

As an integrative therapist I can support with a wide range of issues, this includes but is not limited to, anxiety, low self-confidence, family issues, bereavements, trauma, stress, depression, ADHD, autism and so much more.

I am experienced in working with neurodivergent individuals, in particular those that are late diagnosed with ADHD and/or Autism.  I work from a trauma-informed and neuro-affirming perspective. I offer a range of therapeutic approaches including integrative talking therapy, outdoor therapy, and yoga and movement-based interventions.

What will therapy be like?

As an Integrative counsellor, I invite you to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery designed specifically for you.  An integrative approach allows a tailored plan drawing from a range of modalities. We collaborate, and work together to design a support package for you.  Helping you to navigate everyday challenges as well as significant life changes.  Whether in person or online, the sessions are led by your individual requirements, this is not a one size fits all approach.

Do you feel ready to discover the benefits of talking therapy?

For adults, I facilitate therapy sessions online and in-person. Take the first step by reaching out via email or book a call.  Sessions are available throughout the week and I offer flexible scheduling options, with sessions available on a weekly or fortnightly basis to fit your lifestyle.

For Children and Young People (CYP), I have over eight years experience in providing therapeutic support. Working collaboratively, understanding the needs of your family and focusing on addressing a range of social, emotional, academic, and mental health needs.  The work is delivered as collaborative, tailored interventions that empower young individuals to move forwards in life with skills to support them.

I offer in person sessions at Colchester Children’s Counselling, located in Colchester city centre. The goal is to create a nurturing environment that fosters healing and growth, helping each child navigate their journey toward emotional well-being.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
